1. Hello to all my new followers! I'm so glad you've decided to stop by and follow! I've been busy at work but once the weekend hits I'll be visiting everyone's blogs! I'm excited to get to know everyone better. :)

2. Work and life things have been stressful, but a phone call from my dad completely cheered me up. He was so diplomatic and nice and helpful and it made me so happy that I have a wonderful man like him in my life.

3. I'm having so much fun playing with my new make up palette! I love make up but I rarely treat myself with the nice stuff. Making new looks and experimenting is really bringing out my creative side!

4. Speaking of being creative, I've been doodling and drawing a lot more lately. I'm more into painting and photography, but sketching can help calm me down (plus, I need the practice)!

5. I've decided to test myself and go on a small spending freeze! I've heard of many people doing it and I think it's a wonderful idea. I'm going to see how I can do in one month's time; hopefully I can be proud of myself for learning a lesson and enjoy all the extra money I didn't spend!

6. This is going to get sappy -- but I'm really glad that God is giving me signs of what to do with my life. I've been having this feeling but now I know He's sending the message loud and clear. I wish I would have listened earlier, but the Lord works in mysterious ways, and sometimes I can be pretty deaf.

1. This week, Sidney Crosby's birthday was Tuesday. My future husband is another year older! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOO!

2. NASA is awesome for hiring this guy. And he makes me go all googly eyed over his beautiful face.

3. Finally getting some rain around here! I feel like it's been forever since we've gotten some moisture on the ground!

4. Bringing this YouTube gem back. Always makes me laugh! (Warning: NSFW)

5. This article is just funny to me; I love how scientists are discovering stuff we already knew about...

1. USA WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS. Oh my gosh, these ladies. They are my ultimate heroes and they are all just so awesome. Look at them. They are powerful and the poster girls for fitspiration. Maybe one day in the far, far, far future I can be as great as they are. :)

2. Men's swimming. Oh goodness. I want all of them

3. I saw this on tumblr and just burst out laughing. I've been laughing ever since.

4. Finally got my last piece of furniture for my new place... my beautiful couch came in yesterday!

1. Finally got my new glasses! They are all shiny and beautiful and smart looking and awesome. Plus they're beautiful Vera Wang. :)

2. Dancing in the rain (even in a white shirt... honey badger don't give a shit.) is needed every once in a while. Don't worry, I made sure the lightning stopped before going outside.

3. Seriously, this blog will always make me laugh.

4. I appreciate any gifts given to me, and I got a lovely housewarming gift from my friend Kim. Even though I'm going to miss her a bunch, I'll have something to always remember her by!

1. I am definitely a kid at heart, so I was so happy when I got the Adventure Time Season 1 DVD! I was at Wal*Mart picking up a couple of random things and I just decided to get it. $20 is awfully cheap for some good television episodes!

2. Have you ever tried Red, White, and Blueberry tea by Stash? Oh my God, so good. Especially mixed with some all-natural honey!

3. Mmm, I can't get enough chocolate strawberries. Yay!

4. I didn't lose internet Monday from that malware stuff, so that's something to celebrate!

1. The Fourth of July hasn't always been a big deal to me, but this year it seemed really special! We got to set off fireworks with a lot of my mom's family, and let's just say that we spent LOTS on these fireworks! It was nice to just hang out with everyone and enjoy the summer holiday.

2. This is going to be weird but I LOVE cheese curds. I always stock up when I'm in Wisconsin and I can't get enough. Mmmm, so good!

3. Seeing the farmlands of America is wonderful. Maybe it's because my degree is in Agriculture, but I just love hanging out on my grandparent's farm and petting dairy cows.

4. Who doesn't love family trips? Family can be a pain in the ass but I still love them. :)

1. I finally got an apartment for when I move later in July for my job! It was looking like there was nothing in the area, but I found something a nice 30 mile commute away! I'm so happy to start apartment furniture shopping!

2. Cleaned out my room after it got a fresh coat of paint. I was able to get rid of a ton of stuff and now I have a good idea of what to take with me when I move out. Felt good to get rid of some trash.

3. Bees make me really happy. No real reason. I just love watching them buzz around.

4. I'm going to a summer concert tonight! It's Jimmy Buffett, which normally isn't my style but it's something different and I'm going with a good friend. Plus we're tailgating for about 5 hours. YAY!

1. This warm weather is awesome. It's just perfect enough to hang out outside all day and read!

2. I got my diploma in the mail the other day! I was starting to panic thinking that it was lost in the mail, but it got here with not one bend or rip. :) I was so happy!!

3. There's a ton of string left over from my friendship bracelet-making days, so I decided to make a new one and send it to my best friend in Georgia! It was nice making something like that again, it's been so long.

4. True Blood is getting really good and it's only the second episode. I love this show so much!

1. Watching NHL history being made by the LA Kings winning the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals was awesome! I cannot express how impressed I was with the Kings' performance!! They finally have Lord Stanley after 45 years in the league! Fun fact: Kings are the FIRST number 8 seed in either conference to win the Stanley Cup!

2. Still slightly related to #1, but I got my dad this sweet hat for Father's Day. :)

3. I've been reading like crazy this summer, and getting a ton of books from the library is just something small but great.

4. I love watching Tosh.0 and this week's episode was pure gold.

Things I Love Thursday

Inspired from Gala Darling, I'm going to start doing Things I Love Thursday. Basically you take the Thursday of every week and reflect on things that you love. Definitely a "My Favorite Things" esque outlook on life. :)

I'm going to keep the first post simple!

1) Patience. I know this sounds stupid, but sometimes you need to really value the hold you have on your anger. I know for me at least, dealing with people is not my forte. Therefore, patience is a virtue that I am always thankful for!

2) Puppies. If you love puppies as much as I do, you NEED to check out The Daily Puppy! Such a day-brightener!

3) Stephen King. Summer to me has always meant catching up on reading. After I read Carrie, I decided to start on another Stephen King novel, this time it's The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. I am completely hooked. If I could write half as well as Stephen King, I would be the happiest lady alive.

4) Flowers. If you didn't figure out by my blog title, I love flowers. Now that I'm home for the summer, I can start gardening again! My pride & joy right now are my hanging strawberry plants, but I'm also working on some snapdragons, cacti, peppermint, and lavender. So far this summer has been good to my plants!
